The MRAD SMR (Single Mission Rifle) features the same performance as the original MRAD”” along with .75 MOA accuracy”” but in a simplified package utilizing 90 percent parts commonality. The SMR name indicates that the rifle is set for a single caliber”” lacking the interchangeable barrel capability of the original MRAD. Additionally the stock is fixed (non-folding). This leads to a slimmer rifle package that is 2.5 lbs lighter than the original MRAD.
