Rather than simply shortening the barrel and slide like most compact 1911 pistols”” the EMP also shortens the frame and action . In fact”” the pistol features 11 proprietary parts distinct from a standard 1911 as a result of this adaptation. The end result is a pistol with a reduced grip radius for both enhanced comfort and concealability.
